Kids and Young adult books 50% off in Chapter 2 book sale

For the week of June 5th – 10th kids & young adult books in the Chapter 2 book sale selection are 50% off. It’s a great time to stock up on books for the kids before summer vacation starts!

Join us on June 13th

We are encouraging people to attend the June 13th Selectboard meeting to participate in a discussion if the town should  warn a Special Town Meeting on November 7, 2017 asking voters to consider approving a bond for a new Pierson Library, renovations to the (historic) Town Hall, and improvements to the municipal campusThe price-tag for this proposed project is $6,500,000 and would cost the Shelburne tax payer an estimated $35 per every $100,000 of assessed homestead value.  According to a town-wide survey completed by 1,200 registered voters, 57% indicated they would support this project at the voting booth.  The ‘preferred alternative’ represented in the $6,500,000 option above was the result of an extensive, public design and engagement process.  More information about the project is available here.  If you have questions please contact Joe Colangelo, Town Manager, at jcol...@shelburnevt.org
